The South Australian government has launched a recruitment drive to attract British workers to become beer tasters and koala catchers.
A local mining boom has led to a shortage of workers in South Australia and the government hopes 18-30 year old Brits will want to fill the gaps. After conducting a survey of 2,000 British employees, it claims 60 per cent are bored of their jobs.
A further 71 per cent of respondents complained that their jobs did not allow them to escape the office.
The South Australian government is hoping the jobs on offer will tempt those feeling constrained by UK working life. Other roles that need filling include a Little Penguin home remodeller on Kangaroo Island, a shark personality profiler at Port Lincoln and a "roo poo" harvester.
Britons who fly to Australia on a working holiday visa would be eligible for the roles.
